Real World Project
Donna reached out to the Leave it to Lara team in frustration over her children’s bedrooms. She felt overwhelmed with the number of toys, books, electronics, clothes and shoes that were not only in their bedrooms, but scattered all over the house. During the consultation, Leave it to Lara was able to assess what wasn’t working with the current systems and setup. Once they determined which organizing package fit her needs and goals, Donna worked with the Leave it to Lara team to purge and donate too young toys and books, broken electronics, and sorting too small clothes and shoes to save for their younger cousins.
The Leave it to Lara team thought outside the box and found a rarely used small sitting room in Donna’s house and was able to repurpose the space into a playroom to house the remaining “keep” toys. The team created organized systems in the kids rooms for their books and stuffed animals. When the kids arrived home, they were so excited to have their own space to keep their toys, and guidelines for the items remaining in their rooms. The team introduced all of the new systems to the family, so everyone can help maintain the newly organized spaces.
