Lara B. Anderson, Founder and Owner of Leave it to Lara, has over 18 years experience in Atlanta as a Professional Organizer and Move Manager. Her experience along with her passion to simplify and reduce stress for busy clients, has made her a well-known name, leader and mentor in the organizing business. She has been featured on CNN for her stellar organizing tips as well as in various magazines around the country.
Lara moved from her home state of California to Atlanta in 2003 to be closer to her sister and newborn nephew. In the midst of this cross country move, she knew she wanted to help others navigating change. Lara moved 13 times in 6 years, so she quickly became a moving expert and found she actually enjoyed the process. Lara was born with an entrepreneurial spirit and realized that she could combine her past work experience of organizing and planning events with her love for inventive, productive ideas, organization systems for busy families and an efficient, seamless moving process by starting a career in move management and professional organizing.
In 2005, Leave it to Lara was born.
Since then she has organized thousands of spaces, homes, and garages, as well as managed hundreds of moves for clients. Lara feels lucky to do what she loves while also making a huge difference for people who are often in the midst of life-changing transitions. She has built her company solely on referrals and is so grateful for all of her client relationships. She even travels out of state for clients, organizing in Washington D.C., Oregon, California, North Carolina, Wyoming and Chicago, and also helps people organize virtually. Lara is an active member with National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO) and served on the Board of Directors for NAPO-Georgia for many years as Director of Communication and Technology and Events Chair.
When she is not simplifying and organizing life for her wonderful clients, Lara spends time with her incredibly supportive husband, Bill, quickly growing sons Luke and Drew and sweet dogs Chloe and Derby. Many days are spent cheering for her busy boys on the lacrosse and soccer fields or the tennis court. She loves traveling with her family, playing cards with friends, watching Netflix from her treadmill, losing herself in a beach read and volunteering with the boys school foundation.
